ALOR SETAR, Oct 29 — A total of 133 passengers who were travelling in a ferry from the Kuala Kedah Jetty Terminal, near here, to the Kuah Passenger Ferry Terminal in Langkawi were rescued after the ferry ran aground in Kuala Kedah at 4.30pm yesterday.

ALOR SETAR, Oct 24 — The ferry carrying over 500 passengers and crew members that was stranded at around 3pm (October 23) while on its way to Langkawi from Kuala Kedah has been safely towed to the Kuala Kedah Ferry Jetty last night.

ALOR SETAR, Oct 5 — Residents in the coastal areas of Kuala Kedah, near here and Kota Kuala Muda in Sungai Petani were reminded today to immediately evacuate if the sea level reaches a height of three metres during the high tide phenomenon that is expected to occur on October 11 and 12.
